A Bit of Birding in the Yucatán Peninsula
On a recent trip (February 2024) to Mérida, MX for a wedding of two former graduate students, I had the opportunity to do some birding in the Yucatán peninsula. This region of Mexico encompasses three states and plays hosts to numerous endemic species as well as common neotropical migrants that overwinter. This presentation will recount some of the spots visited during my trip and the birds I encountered.
